Monthly organic content for Chef Sargent:
The Brief:
Dave Sargent has been one of the UK's most sought-after private chefs since 2007. But the brief he brought to Better Creative wasn't just about showcasing what he does in professional kitchens. It was about combining his two greatest passions, food and supporting men's mental health, into a content strategy that could build a genuine audience and make a real difference.
The result is an ongoing monthly partnership, built around four distinct content pillars, each with its own purpose, tone, and target audience.
Production:
Once a month, Chris shoots four videos with Dave, each serving a different strategic role in the overall content mix. Every video opens with Dave speaking directly to camera while he cooks, a natural, unscripted summary of what's coming that sets the tone and draws the viewer in before a single dish has been plated.
Impact:
Six months in, Better Creative and Chef Sargent have built a consistent, strategic content engine producing four videos every month across YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram. The four pillar approach means every piece of content has a clear job to do, reaching new audiences, demonstrating expertise, building community, and starting conversations about men's mental health.
Chef Skills:
Short, practical how-to content built for social search. As more people turn to TikTok and YouTube Shorts to learn techniques rather than typing into Google, this pillar puts Dave in front of new audiences actively looking for exactly what he knows. Punchy, watchable, and designed to be discovered.
Private Chef:
Cinematic showcase pieces that capture Dave at his professional best, the theatre, the craft, and the extraordinary food that goes into a bespoke private dining experience. Produced for YouTube Shorts and TikTok, these videos introduce Dave to new audiences and demonstrate the level of what's possible when you book a private chef of his calibre.
Homecooking:
The most distinctive pillar in the mix. Each homecooking video pairs an accessible, achievable recipe with a mindfulness message, positioning cooking not just as something you do to feed yourself, but as a way to slow down, stay present, and look after your mental health. Simple food, purposeful content, and a message that resonates well beyond the kitchen.
Mental Health journey:
Short, honest interview-format videos in which Dave speaks openly about his own experience and journey with mental health. No script, no polish, just a man in his kitchen talking about something that matters. In a content landscape full of performance and perfection, these videos offer something rarer, authenticity, and they sit at the heart of what makes the Chef Sargent channel different.
I can’t recommend Chris enough. From communication, to working with him on the day and after with the editing, he is top draw.
